Install the Kaevo plugin

For household owners: Kaevo needs its plugin on your Jellyfin server. It isn’t in Jellyfin’s default catalog—add our custom repository first.

Show installation steps

1. Open Jellyfin’s Dashboard. Sign in as the server administrator. Go to Plugins → Manage Repositories → New Repository.
2. Add the repository. Enter Kaevo as the name, paste the link above into Repository URL, then select Add.
3. Install Kaevo. Return to Plugins → Available (called Catalog on older versions). Find Kaevo and install the latest compatible version. Refresh the page if it hasn’t appeared yet.
4. Restart Jellyfin. Do this when nobody is watching; playback briefly stops. Once Jellyfin is back, return to Kaevo to finish connecting your library.

Already installed, or joining someone else’s household? Continue in the Kaevo app. Only the server owner needs to install the plugin.
